LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Fish tacos, shrimp empanadas, ceviche tostadas, and seafood botanas are part of the menu at Antojitos Guayabitos.
This family business started 3 years ago, after Carlos Martinez and his family imagined how would it be to have an authentic Mexican seafood food truck in Las Vegas.
His parents are from Nayarit, a state in Mexico, where “mariscos” (seafood in English) are fresh and tasty.
With time, customers have recognized their food quality and variety and he says they’re grateful for it, but during this COVID-19 pandemic, they had to close for almost a month earlier this year.

“It was difficult at first because we had to take some time off but, thank God, we were able to reopen and adjust to this pandemic, “ said Martinez.
They had to implement several changes after they reopened including wearing face masks for protection.
One of the biggest changes they had to implement was to not have customers eating at the parking lot where they’re located, for everyone’s safety. Most customers now eat in their cars or they order takeout.
They’re aware that they may have to close down again, and they’re getting ready for it, starting with making changes to their menu, having more hot items for winter, like tacos and empanadas.
Even with the pandemic, their customers keep coming, regardless of the time of the year, sometimes, even waiting for them to open their windows.
Antojitos Guayabitos is located at 1000 N Nellis Blvd and they’re open from Thursdays to Mondays. For more information, you can contact them at 702-559-3824
