Brian Roehrich is preparing to sell his 7,455-square-foot Arcadia home, with plans to downsize into a home half that size in the same area.
“My wife and I split up a year-and-a-half ago and my daughter is going to NAU, so I’m here by myself in this 8,000-square-foot house on an acre, at the same time running businesses,” he said. “It’s just a lot going on.”
Roehrich, a restaurant consultant, had bought the property at 4621 E. Camelback Road in Phoenix, about 22 years ago, but then four years ago he essentially razed it and rebuilt it into his dream home.
“I built my dream home and I live here by myself,” he said. “It’s just too much at this point.”
The home features a chef’s kitchen, complete with a commercial walk-in cooler and freezer, a pizza oven and two Bosch dishwashers. The property also has a pickleball court, putting green, five custom fireplaces, pool and a home gym.
He had been looking for something smaller in the same area and finally found a home off 56th Street.
“It’s still in Arcadia Proper,” he said. “I’m going to knock it down and build exactly what I want.”
Robert Joffe and Beth Thompson of Launch Real Estate, are representing Roehrich in both transactions.

Joffe, co-founder of Launch Real Estate, said he expects to list the home at 4621 E. Camelback Road within the next couple of weeks. The list price will be $3.995 million, he said.
Roehrich estimates his new home will be somewhere between 4,100 and 4,300 square feet.
It will be the same style as his existing home, with a lot of glass, but he wants to include unique features, such as a catwalk.
After renovating one of his restaurants in Gilbert, he came away with ideas on how to use different styles.
“I’ll be bringing some of those styles into the house,” he said.
