Mary Wong went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 1, 2022. She was born in Kaiping, Guan Dong, China on July 24, 1927. She was the daughter of Kwan Jin Kit and Kwan Kit Wah. In 1947 she traveled to the USA to meet and marry her husband Fay M. Wong. Together they raised four children. Marion (JC) Brown, Eddy (Mai-Lon) Wong, Nancy (Greg) Emoto and Terry (Hae Ja) Wong. Together with her husband they owned and operated Mayfair Market in Glendale until they retired to help take care of nine grandchildren and eventually eighteen great-grandchildren. She loved to cook, sew and care for her family and friends. Her family, friends and customers know her as an extremely generous woman who deeply cared for all people. As a faithful Christian, she was a member of Northwest Chinese Baptist Church and First Chinese Baptist Church. She served in the nursery taking care of the little ones. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to these two churches. A visitation will be held Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 9:00 AM and the funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM. Both will be held at Serenity Chapel, Greenwood/Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 North 27th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85009.
